Kov Rei | Since 2024
It started with five friends fumbling with gear at a trailhead. Lin’s backpack straps kept slipping. Chen’s jacket felt like a sauna. Aya struggled to pull off her gloves. On the drive home, we wondered: "Shouldn’t outdoor gear make adventures easier?" That night, in a borrowed garage, we stitched our first backpack prototype.
We’re not extreme athletes. We’re office workers who escape to hills on weekends, parents packing snacks into our pockets, beginners who still check weather apps three times before hiking. When designing products, we ask: "Will this survive a commute after a trail run?" "Can grandparents adjust it without reading a manual?"
Why hikers trust Kov Rei:
Last autumn, mist veiled our favorite path. As we paused, unsure which way led home, someone remembered the map printed inside a backpack’s pocket. Now every Kov Rei pack has this feature – not because it’s technical, but because getting lost taught us that preparedness means peace.
We believe nature welcomes everyone. You don’t need to summit peaks to earn stunning sunsets. That’s why you’ll never see "extreme" or "elite" in our stories. Instead, we design for moments like these: pulling a perfectly dry jacket from your pack when surprise rain greets you on a ridge, or fishing a warm phone from your glove to capture mountains melting into gold at dusk.
At Kov Rei, we’re still those friends who meet at trailheads. Only now, we carry prototypes alongside sandwiches – and smile when we spot strangers wearing our gear, moving comfortably through their own adventures.
